Robotic Loading for a Stator Winding Section
A motor plant wants one operator to run several winding machines.
The challenge
- Each winder needed its own operator for loading and unloading.
- Night shifts were hard to staff.
- Parts were damaged by manual handling.
Our solution
We placed a 6-axis robot between two winders and a stator tester. The robot picks bare stators from trays, loads the winders, moves wound stators to the tester and sorts OK and NG parts. One operator supplies trays and handles rejects.
What the project was designed to deliver
- Fewer operators per winding section
- Gentler, repeatable part handling
- Stable output across all shifts

Machines used in this project
Robotic Loading and Unloading Cell
Robot cell that tends winders, testers and presses so one operator can run several machines.
VIEW MACHINE →Multi-Station BLDC Stator Winding Machine
Indexing table winder with 2 to 4 spindles that winds one set of stators while the operator loads the next.
VIEW MACHINE →Stator Winding Tester
Tests resistance, insulation, hipot and surge on wound stators before assembly.
