A winding fault found after assembly costs a rotor, a housing and labour. A stator tester at the end of winding catches it early.
Resistance
Measures each phase and the balance between phases. Temperature compensation matters, because copper resistance changes with temperature.
Insulation resistance and hipot
Checks that the winding is insulated from the core. Hipot applies high voltage to find weak spots before they fail in service.
Surge (impulse) test
Applies a fast voltage pulse and compares the response with a good stator. It is the only common test that finds turn-to-turn shorts, which resistance tests can miss.
Practical features
- Test time that fits your line takt
- Easy fixtures or automatic probing
- Results saved per serial number
- Clear OK / NG indication for operators
